Hi,
I am a novice to XPe and try to import a .inf file in the database. First I imported the file in Component Designer. I see an overview of components and files. I can import the components in the database, but the files that came with the .inf (.dll etc) are not imported. In the docs I see that I have to place these files in a repository. Is anyone willing to explain how to handle repositories. Dou you have to copy the files manualy or does the Component Desinger or the Database Manager that for you ??

I made a new repository in the Component Designer and attached it to the component. I saved the .sld file and started the Database manager. When I try to import the component in the database I get the message that the repository can not be imported inthe database because the database repository is invalid or in accessible . The repository path in the error message is not present in the repository root of the database.

Change the permissions on the Repositary root to allow write access to it
for the account you login in to on the XPe dev machine.
