I'M NEW TO ACCESS 97 AND I HAVE A QUERY WITH A FIELD THAT HAS 10 REPETITIVE
RECORDS IN IT IS THERE A WAY TO TURN THOSE RECORDS INTO FIELDS

Probably using a Crosstab? Try using the query wizard, and see what you can
get out of it.

Doing so you un-normalize your data. Easier to look at, for human reading,
but harder to work with, for the computer. So, do not DELETE the already
normalized tables, they are probably more useful as they are. And for human
reading, well, use forms/reports based on the CROSSTAB QUERY you will
create.

Sure, these remarks are general and may not be applicable in YOUR specific
case, though.
