Hello,

We are experiencing problems with outlook 2002. it seems that whenever we
recieve a reply to an email that both originated from our outlook 2002 mail
client and was replied to by a client using iplanet messenger express and
eudora pro the reply is visible only with autopreview in outlook 2002. we
have also seen that the reply is visible using outlook express and Novell
Evolution. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

Other reports of this indicate that the problem is iPlanet creating an
ill-formed mail message. Outlook is stricter in its interpretation of what
it receives and do has trouble with it. Make sure your iPlanet software is
up to date as their web site mentions patches that deal with what seems to
be this problem.

I have been searching the web extensively for information relating to this
problem, but have seen no explicit references to it...can you point me in a
direction, maybe some microsoft literature that addresses this issue?

The reference I saw was in either this group or the microsoft.public.outlook
group. Google Groups should find it.

Brian,

Thanks for the tip...I was able to find the documents that you were speaking
of in a sun webmail forum. Do you know if this issue has been addressed by
outlook 2003?

Could be. I don't use iPlanet. However, since it's an iPlanet problem, I
don't see much reason for Outlook to address it.
