How does one reply to a message with blocked images (from the net) without
having Outlook force you to download the image for the reply?

There must be a way, as it only follows that if I didn't want to download
the images when receiving the mail, I darn sure don't want to download them
when sending a reply. Unfortunately, when attempting to reply to a Yahoo
group message, Outlook will not allow me to reply without downloading it:

"To complete this action, Outlook must download content from a server other
than your e-mail server. This could verify to the sender that your e-mail
address is valid and *increase* the _amount of junk e-mail you receive in the
future_."

Hitting OK downloads the picture, hitting Cancel cancels the entire reply.

Correct - this is required by Outlook and is one of the wishes that MVPs
have sent to Microsoft for Outlook 12. It makes no sense (to me at least)
why something that is blocked, cannot remain blocked if an action is taken
on the item that requires sending.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, AGK asked:

Thank you. I am glad to hear I'm not the only one to think this behaviour is
a bit ridiculous, and that I hadn't missed some setting to turn it off.

Yep....I discovered this only recently, to my dismay. I end up just writing
a new email.
