Replacing server, terrified!!!

I am replacing my server running active directory this
weekend. What should I know before I dive into this
project. We have all of our users logging into this
domain server, people have network shares, and I don't
want any workstations to create new users so I have to
drag outlook settings all to new domain accounts. I want
to name the domain something different also. Any tips?
I'm terrified. IS there a guide anywhere online?????

Well it wasn't too bad until you said "I want to name the domain something
different" (ouch)!
You may want to call around and pay someone to help you on this one.

Hi,

I agree with Gary. What you are suggesting is a major
piece of work !!

At the very least I would keep the old server exactly as
it is and build the new server. If it all goes wrong you
simply plug your old server back in.
