Replacing RealPlayer - is there a good jukebox?

It's been talked alot here about how RealAlternative will play
RealPlayer files. That's fine, but...
What I want is something that replaces what realplayer does, especially
the database stuff, organizing and annotating your songs, etc.
Realplayer plays the songs just great but its database sucks rocks. It
can't seem to do much at all without accessing the disk constantly for
each minor update, interrupting the song to change a simple word, only
does very very simple sorts - that sort of thing. The thing is just
lousy at that, the programmers should be ashamed. (well, actually his
bosses who didn't give them the direction and resources to do it right!)

Is there something out there that plays songs as well as realplayer, but
has a nice database as well?
