What is the best freeware that will replace microsys clean (very good)
.Have been unable to upgtrade it so would like to git rid of it

When I first tried the program it had:
New Virus Pattern Release
Pattern Version: 2.901.00
October 19, 2005, 04:01:05 (GMT -08:00)
There is also a Control Release:
Pattern Version: 0.300.27
Release Type: Control Release
October 19, 2005, 11:40:13 (GMT -08:00)
The pattern release was 16 meg and the control release was 3.8 meg.
When I ran SysClean it took quite a while to examine my 3 gigs. It
found two joke files which I was already aware of.
As of Feb 21, 2006, the latest pattern file number is 3.227.00.
It and Control Release: 3.228.05 are shown on their site.

Also the engine must be updated for these patterns to work correctly.
Spyware Pattern Files, Network Virus Pattern, Vulnerability
Assessment Pattern and the Wireless Pattern are extra downloads.
Personally, I think I'll not invest the time trying to keep this
up-to-date. I had forgot I even had it until you mentioned it and
the name rang a bell.
