Just received a pc pre-installed with xp, only trouble is it's comes with IE 6 & we HAVE to have IE 5.5 (sp2) installed!

Is there anyway to replace it? - if not then it's a complete install back to win 2000!

thanks

Just curious, why do you HAVE to have 5.5 installed? Are you testing the
effects of malware and viruses on your computer?

thanks for the answers, it's a test box & has to have this version on it as
that's the client's standard!

In XP,you can't.
Just to remind you that Microsoft has stopped supporting Internet
Explorer 5.5 SP2.

You've been given some really good answers. I'd like to offer you a
workaround. Since you do lots of testing of apps for clients, buy
either Microsoft's Virtual PC or VMWare. You can create virtual
machines running various operating systems and do your testing there.
