I have two hard drives , both of which have been partitioned . The one
contains the C. and E. partitions . Every time I reboot I'm informed that
the E. drive needs to be checked . When I allow this to happen no problems
are found . However, when I try and do a fragmentation on my E. drive the
analysis tells me that it is scheduled for a scan disk and therefore cannot
proceed with analysis or the fragmentation . This happens every time I
reboot so how am I going to convince my computer that a scheduled check is
not required ? This way, I will never be able to the fragment The partition .
There is no problem with the D. and G. partitions which all partitions in my
second drive .
Can anyone help?

I have followed the suggestions given in the sites referred to without any
change.
When I try and analyse 'E' I still get "windows has found errors on disk and
a checkdsk has been scheduled" .If i allow it to run no errors found but the
same cycle continues.
