Hello,

My computer has been running a bit slow lately and i would like to
repartiton the hard drive. I know how to preform the repartition but since i
got the computer it had xp home installed on it. I upgraded it to
professional and also installed MS office 2003. My question is if i
repartition the hard drive will the cd keys still work so i can activate
office and xp pro?

Thank you

Hello,

You will need to match the correct keys to there respective applications
(Windows XP Pro = its cd-key) same for office same for XP home (if you were
going to use it).

Yes, asfaik every 6 mos Microsoft resets the key activation so that you can
reactivate. If this is not the case for you, then simply do your
installation and then call MS and have them give you the phone activation
key.

You can always call MS and have them give you a "Phone Activation" assuming
your following the license agreement.

Hi,

Certainly you can use the same keys, and activation should be automatic. The
hardware hasn't changed, only the way you have it configured has.

Do you really mean you want to repartition to remedy a slow computer or
do you mean you want to do a clean install of the OS and applications?
If the latter then yes the keys will work. You can reinstall as often
as you want on the same system.

Clean Install

Before you do this why not fix the slow operation? What is the malware
status of the computer? See this link for tips on addressing a slow
computer:
