My computer is really acting up and I need to know if I can repair my windows
using my windows xp disk and not lose all the stuff on my computer. If I do
this will I lose the data on my hard drive? I appreciate any info

If it is acting up because of something other that the operating system you
might be wasting your time doing a repair. What exactly is it doing?

Several points:

1. A repair installation *should* leave all the "stuff" on your computer
alone.

2. There are no guarantees. You should always have a backup of anything you
can't afford to lose, and that's especially true before taking a big step
like a repair installation.

3. What makes you think a repair installation is the correct procedure for
your problems?

4. What does "My computer is really acting up" mean? Exactly what problems
are you experiencing?
