I just went through this tonight. The repair tool didn't work for me, so I tried creating a new data file and manually moving everything from my damaged data file over. That didn't work either. I tried reinstalling office, but found that uninstalling Outlook still leaves plenty of artifacts and registry entries. I even tried manually cleaning those out
Since even my new data files contained errors similar to my corrupted original, I determined my .pst backup file was actually okay and it was Outlook that was corrupt. I ended up reformatting (Ghosting actually) and my problem was solved
I would suggest saving yout .pst file and trying it on another computer or reformatting. Good luck.
