Hi,
I have just had to repair my WinXP system due to not being able to login
anymore. I did it (the repair) from the WinXP_SP2 (Streamlined) CD 'setup'
Repair option.
Anyway, after it copied all the files etc then rebooted, it took forever to load
the desktop, as it said it was 'loading my personal preferences'. About 3/4
minutes later the icons appeared, but everything is so slow, and I have lost my
connection to the internet, but only to webpages. I can get to NGs on my ISP's
server ok, but not my ISP's website or any other.
Do I have to set anything else up for this?

Thanks

Go to Start/Run, and type: REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL Then open IE, Tools menu,
Options, Program Tab, and click the "Reset Web Settings" button.

Ok thanks, but your reply did not show until I decided on a complete
delete partition/ make NTFS partition and re install.
Now its a lot better and internet connection works fine with everything.

Thanks again
