Repaired file

I am in Excel 2002. Whenever I make changes in some of
my Excel template, and save them I get an error that
says. "Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The
information you were working on might be lost. Microsoft
Excel can try to recover it for you. The box Revover my
work and restart Excel is checked. This dialog box also
gives me the option of sending an error report to
Microsoft.

My file name across the title bar now says "Repaired"

I need to be able to make this error go away in my file.
I can't have my users seeing this message when they run
my files. I also need to turn this option off so Excel
won't automatically repair files in the future.

Thanks

It might be time to recreate that troublesome workbook. It sounds corrupted to
me. If you do it now, you'll be able to save some of your work.

You might be able to use openoffice to help. Maybe it can open/save and lose
the corruption (I've never used it).

(http://www.openoffice.org, a 60-65 meg download or a CD)

But I'd do something before it's too late.
