i recently had a problem with win xp pro and tried to do an upgrade install
to repair it. right as i got to the product key screen my house lost power.
now when my pc starts i get the xp splash screen then i get a light blue
screen(like the diskchk screen or a partition magik batch screen) that says
setup is being restarted.............. then it reboots then the same thing
happens. i tried to start the the upgrade again but it gets to the same
place. i have insalled xp on my D: drive but i would like to save my old inst
to save my apps and settings. is there a way i can stop setup from trying to
restart itself ? is it some sort of batch file maybee i can delete? then
maybee i can run the upgrade again and fix my old install

thanks for any help
have a nice day
