Repair Operating System not available.

I upgrade all my hard ware and when I about to repair my O/S which is win xp
prof the option on the repair win xp is no longer available. Please help. I
dont want to loose all my data in this original hard drive that contain my
win xp O/S and some application. Thanks a lot..
