renumbering

Someone here gave me the name of a program to randomly list files in windows
explorer. I lost it after a crash and can't remember the name. Anybody
help? TIA

You'd need to provide a few more details about the program, in order to jog
someone's memory.

You can search using Windows Explorer, itself, using wildcard characters
like *, ?, for files meeting certain criteria (eg *.doc, ??.exe etc)

Start > Search > All files and folders >...

I guess I didn't describe it well enough. It's not on my system already, to
search for. It was a free download of a program with which I can randomize a
list of files in explorer. As you know, files are listed, say,
alphabetically, in explorer, so that photos of mary are all listed together,
john, etc. I want to randomize them so that they're scattered, rather than
in rigid sequence. Using xpHome.
