Is there a way to rename the system folder (Documents and Settings)? We got
the comp from a friend and it was 2 weeks old and everything was in his
name. I want everything to be in my name. I managed to change everything
but the folder above. I wasn't sure about messing with a system folder.

Wait.......I think I may have not said what I really meant. I'm not sure
how to put it.....
Ok here goes a try at it. Under Documents and Settings, the (user name?)
which is not my name(belongs to the guy I got comp from).....that's what I
want to change. Can that be done?

Sorry!

Hi,

Gotcha.

Copy off what you want, then delete it.

I suggest you DO NOT rename Documents and Settings as a lot of entries
in Registry is changed.
Best thing to do is create a new User Account in Your Name and it will
create a folder in your name too in Documents and Settings and you can
also delete the old user along with his/her folder.
See User Accounts in Start, Settings, Control Panel.
