Hey everybody,
I am new on here but wanted some help with a clients XP machine.

They have a strange problem where they cannot rename files. If you right
click rename is not there, F2 does nothing and neither does slow right click
and if you go File then rename is greyed out.

It is a SP2 laptop on our Server 2003 network.

I have had a look at some of the similar issues. Some involving disabling
the media connect service (does not have media connect) and using shellexview
to determine faulty context menu handlers. Neither have given me any joy.

Initially I thought it was a permission error and gave the user local admin
rights but this has not sorted it either. No other user on the network is
experiencing this issue.

Any help would be appreciated.
