Hi,

I have a dual boot machine - first partition is WinME , second is WinXP.

I now want to remove ME - how do I go about this ?? - and how will XP boot
if the first partition is wiped clean?.

Can I transfer XP to my first partition ?.

Thanks in advance

- Boot into WinXP.
- Rename c:\Windows to c:\Windows.me
- Wait a week
- If all is well, delete c:\Windows.me
- Click "System" in the Control Panel
- Click "Advanced", then "Startup and Recovery", then "Settings", then
"Edit"
- Remove the Windows ME line

- and how will XP boot
if the first partition is wiped clean?.

- Don't wipe it - just delete c:\Windows.me.
Can I transfer XP to my first partition ?.

- Yes, but it's rather dicey. Not recommended.
