Removing vista boot manager

I have just installed vista without thinking logically. I have two hard
drives, one with my xp pro and an old blank drive. I installed vista from the
dvd, not thinking about removing my xp drive. I wanted to be able to choose
the drive from my bios boot menu and boot to the individual drives boot
managers. I can still access my xp install with 'Use Earlier version of
windows' but would like to remove the vista boot maganer and try it again MY
way. Is it possible? OR am I looking at a complete reinstall of xp and vista?

Any help would be appreciated.

Download VistaBootPro (you'll have to google it). It's amazing and will fix
you right up.

On the vista dvd look for Boot directory.
Go there and run:
bootsect /nt52 SYS /force

The XP boot menu will be back alone.

I had the same problem and tried your recommendation.
It worked really well.

The only difference is that I ran the command 'bootsect /nt52 C:' since my
XP installation was on the c-drive.
