Removing Unremovable folders/files

I'm trying to figure out why I'm getting "access denied"
when trying to delete folders/files with 0 bytes. I've
tried resetting the file/folder attributes, and I've tried
to take over these folders files as well. I could sure use
the freed up space. So what am I doing wrong? Is there a
procedure to get these off my drive, if they're no longer
needed?

If they are 0 bytes, then they aren't taking up that much space.

Try deleting these from DOS, or booting into Safe Mode and doing it there.

Please have a look at
