removing software application entry from start programs menu

how do you remove an invalid software application entry in
the start, programs menu, "ie... criterion studios >
redline racer software" for which the application was
uninstalled manually by deleting the application directory
and the registry entries?

The Microsoft Windows 2000 support center doesn't seem to
provide instructions on how.

Delete the shortcut from;
%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
