When I type an email address in the To: field, I'm given options of similar
addresses which I have used previously.

Some of these addresses are now not valid. Can I remove them? I have both
XP and 2000.

Thanks

Chris

Clarify what you mean. We can't tell if you're using autocompletion or
autoresolution.

For the former, remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by
highlighting the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your
arrow key to migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before
you tab out of the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions
here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q287623

For the latter (which is the only thing you could be using in Outlook 2000),
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;287623

Yes, the Delete key worked. Thank you.

I had previously tried right-clicking but hadn't thought of Delete -
obviously when you think about it!

Thanks

You're welcome. Just be aware that this will not work with your Outlook 2000
installation since it does not have autocompletion. You'll need to use the
other solution I posted for it.
