removing shortcuts from 'My Network Places"

I found that "My Network Places" folder on XP machine
contains vaste unnecessary shortcuts from other user
groups.(Its appears while windows XP installation). We use
only our shared folders inside our group. Is the removing
this unused shortcuts safe?

You can safely remove the shortcuts. They are just that, shorcuts
