Each time I boot up my PC I received a message telling me that the PC has recovered from a serious error. When I send the message to MSN I am told the error in currently being researched. I am pretty sure the problem has been resolved and is just being 'copied' each time I turn off my PC. I recall there being a facility so I can turn off the 'save settings' facility but I can't remember where. Could someone tell me please

Thank

Steve

Hi Steve,

Right click on My Computer, choose properties, go to the Advanced
options tab, under 'Start up and restore' click 'Configuration.' In
System error uncheck 'Reboot automatically.' Next time an error occurs
the machine will not boot automatically, instead you will get a BSOD
(Blue screen of death) containing information about the error. Write
down all the information on the blue screen and post it here so the
causes may be found out.

Go to Start > Run and type eventvwr.msc
You can read here about any irregularities happening when the computer
crashes, which will also be useful.

Good luck
