Removing Personal Data to Floppy Drive

Hello,
I am in a bind and could use some good advice. A couple of weeks ago my Laptop was shutdown by pressing the Power button instead of shutting down correctly. Ever since then I received a "Blue Screen" (INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE) screen whenever I boot up, and I am unable to log into Windows (Safe Mode does not work either). All I want is to copy my personal data (.doc, .xls, etc) to a floppy disk so that I won't lose this information forever. However, I cannot do this from the Recovery Console, and it won't allow me to do it from a DOS prompt either.
If anyone can help me, it will be greatly appreciated.

Either from a parallel install or this may help.
