Information about PCMCIA LAN cards I used in my XP Pro system is stored
somewhere within it. When I set IP address of the card I'm currently using,
the system warns me that other card, currently not connected, uses this IP.
How to remove safely any reference about my old cards?

You might like to use this article to force Device Manager to show the
nonpresent devices.
The nonpresent ghosts should now reveal themselves.
You should then delete the nonpresent network adapter from device manager.

Many thanks! That is what I really needed!
