Removing old Search Bars

I have recently had the 2020 Search Bar (for pop-up
protection), and the Google Search bar. I switched to
Google as I was told that 2020 is in fact Spyware. I just
plain well didn't like Google, so I switched to MSN search
bar. My question is this: I occassionally have the 2020
search appear in my anti spyware or pest patrol scans.
How can I make sure this damn program is gone.
P.S. Has anyone else noticed that the Windows Update site
is particularly slow. Maybey it's me.

Go to: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.

Post back with the URL where you posted if you want help with your log.
