I am trying to install MS Intellipoint 5.0. It says it has a hardware
conflict. It tells me in the notes to get rid of other mouse software. I am
trying to remove Logitech Mouse Software 9.41.1 but it does not go after
trying the add/remove button in the Control Panel

I can not reinstall the software as it is not supported by XP - as it
suggests on one of the support boards.

Help please

Start-Run-Regedit
Type in find box- Logitech Mouse then search, when found press
enter-delete-then F3 after all have been deleted close and restart your pc

It will not remove the old Logitech mouse for that is now active when you
booted your PC. Shutdown your PC, disconnect Logitech mouse and connect
your Intellipoint and reboot. Your PC should boot and state that it has found
new hardware and ask you if you want to install it. Answer OK and it will
then
install and/or ask you to insert the installation disk. After the
Intellipoint is
working properly, you can delete/uninstall the old mouse. Voila! :~)
