Removing Lycos Search Engine

Lycos Sucks

No matter what I do, I cannot seem to remove a lycos
search engine from my computer. I have set the defaults
in IE and also run the registry update from Google
directly and Lycos is still set as the default when I run
a search from the address bar.

I've removed any reference to Lycos on my computer.

Any suggestions on what is going on?

Lycos "sidesearch" Spyware hijacker.

Remove with SpyBot Search & Destroy:

Install the application, use the online update engine to retrieve the latest
updates - run a scan just like you would with your pre-installed anti-virus
scanner.
