just wondering how i can remove items from the 'what do
you want windows to do...'option when a CD is inserted
into a drive.
I have uninstalled a few audio programs that still show
up in the programs listed.I have tried reinstalling the
uninstalling again yet they still show up.Is there
somewhere in the registry or in the windows files that
deals with the option to open various types of disc when
inserted (audio,video etc...)

any help would be appreciated :)

DCA,

The handlers are present in this registry key:
HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers\

-or-

Try the utility which I wrote, that can remove the unwanted autoplay handler entry.
