I've a problem with removing a program that's listed on my Context Menu (this
is the menu that appears with the right click of the mouse over a file or
folder) ...
The program that appears in the list doesn't exsist on my computer but its
still listed in the menu. When you click on it a message box appears saying
that it can't find the executable for the item but I can't remove it from the
list.
This is more annoying than anything ... it doesn't interfer with my computer
work but still ~ I'd like to remove it!
Any thoughts or advise would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Steve

Thank you for the speedy reply Wes but I don't think I've made the problem
obvious enough .. the menu I was refering to that appears with a right clik
is the one that would show if, for instance: you were in Windows Explorer
looking through your Programs Files and one catches your eye and you right
click that file ~ the menu that appears on the left shows " EXPAND - EXPLORE
- OPEN - SEARCH... - then program i don't want - SHARING and SECURITY - ADD
TO ARCHIVES" etc etc in decending order .. Is it possible to take the
program I don't want off of that menu ??
Hope this helps clear the muddle and thanks again for the speedy response
Wes !

Hooray an' Bravo to you Ramesh! The link you sent me to was exactly what I
needed to know. The item is no longer in the menu and I've added the page to
my Help Folder for future reference.

Manage the context-menu entries for folders, drives and Namespace objects:

Check here as well:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers]
