Removing Index field codes?

I have a large document with a large number of Index codes embedded. I want
to delete all the codes and reindex using a different concordance. How can
this be done?
 
Press Alt-F9 to display field codes. Then use Find and Replace. Find: ^d XE
Leave the Replace box empty. Replace All.
