Removing Hotfix/Upgrade Files

My computer seems to be saving files that allow me to go
back to 10-20 configurations previous on Windows XP.
This is taking up too much disk space and I don't think I
will need to do a restore that takes me that far back.
Is there an easy way of deleting the previous
configuration files. Also, how can I remove these or
make it so it only keeps the last 5 or so configurations.

In System Properties, reduce the amount of space allocated to System
Restore. It will drop off the oldest ones. With the numbers you gave, I'd
say start by reducing it by around half.
