Removing hard returns/line feeds

I have several plain-text documents that have hard
returns at the end of each line.

I'm probably just overlooking something simple, but is
there an easy way to remove these hard returns?

In addition to the comments by Carol and Suzanne, if in future you need
to do this again, and you forget these special characters, then note the
button "special" on the "Find Replace" dialog box which when the cursor
is in the fields, you press this button and it will enter characters for
you from the word descriptions.
