removing First domain controller in Forest

Hi All

I have a need to remove the first DC in the forest, and replace it
with an existing DC, that will run everything it did. Is it as simple
as moving all operational masters from the old DC, and promoting the
new DC to a GC server. Then finally running dcpromo an removing the
old DC from AD.

Can i please have confirmation that this is correct, if some pointers
if i have missed something.
