Even when selecting Save As/Filter Web Page a lot of extra markup is saved with my document. Does anyone know of a way to (or 3rd party tool that will) remove this extraneous markup?

FrontPage.

Meaning...FrontPage has a utility that will auto-clean this additional markup? Or just use the HTML editor in FrontPage to remove it manually?

Thanks,

Eric

Actually FrontPage 2003 (and perhaps earlier versions as well) has an
"Optimize HTML" setting. I haven't tried it, but it would probably do what
you want. I also find that if I paste Word text into FP a bit at a time and
apply FP styles, this prevents the excess from getting into FP to begin
with. I'm sure you could find out *much* more in a FP NG. I'm a complete
novice in FP, and I'm still composing in Word (because I'm more comfortable
with it) and then pulling text into FP; obviously, composing in FP would be
much more efficient!
