Removing Duplicate XP System

I was having some trouble a little while ago during an
upgrade of my computer, and in desperation I installed
Windows XP again on a new hard disk. I subsequently
managed to get the problem sorted, but now I have a
choice of 2 XP operating systems when I boot up the
machine. As only one is complete (in terms of the
applications) I want to remove the other (new) one.

Can anyone tell me how this can be done without having to
reformat all frives, please.

Thank you in advance

Bjarne,

You need to find the file Boot.ini and edit it, to find
this file you can do a search in files and folders, than
edit the Boot.ini, it should look something like this.

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft
Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

I hope this helps you, take care and Good Luck :)
