Removing Corrupted program

MS Home Publishing suite 2000 somehow became corrupted. It won't run because
it can't find a file although I copied the missing file from the disk into
the folderI installed HomPub. I can't uninstall it because windows can't find
the "works service file."

I reinstalled the program but it doesn't solve the problem. I want to
reinstall the program to another folder but the setup won't allow it and only
will install it to it's present folder which is one I created. Unfortunately
I should have installed HomPub to the program folder but didn't. Now the
files are mixed in with a lot of other files from different programs.

I tried deleting all the keys in the registry associated with HomPub but not
all of the keys and values are that obvious to me.

Would appreciate any help with getting out of this mess I created.
