I have a workbook that has comments associated with random cells on many of
the sheets( as indicated by the red triangle on the upper right hand corner
of the cells). I want to delete all of the comments, but there are just too
many to do manually. Is there any way to delete all of the comments in a
workbook all at once?
Thanks.

Then, select the next sheet with comments
Press Ctrl+A to select all the cells
Press the F4 key to clear the comments
(pressing F4 repeats the previous action)

You can do it per sheet, press F5, select special,
select comment, click OK. Now right click in the first cell with a comment
and select
delete comment. That will delete them on that particular sheet

To clear comments on all the sheets at once,

Right-click on a sheet tab, and choose 'Select All Sheets'

then follow Dave's instructions:
ctrl-A to select all the cells (twice in xl2003)
Edit|Clear|comments

Then ungroup the sheets -- right-click on a sheet tab, and choose Ungroup

Are you saying I missed the part about all the worksheets?

If you are, then you are correct, ma'am!

Subtle, eh?

But then I realized it would be quicker to group the sheets and do them
all at once, so I had to repost.
