removing "click to add text" label

I auto generate a powerpoint slide that has a chart in it. However I always ge a "click to add text" label in the top left area of the graph

Is there any way to remove this label

Change the Template to ppLayoutBlank for the slide you are creating. This
will eliminate any placeholders, so the placeholder that has no text, will
not display as you describe.

Do what Bill suggests, but change the slide layout, not the design template.
Format/Slide Layout will get you there.
