Removed .ost now can't remove folder in Outlook

I manually deleted an .ost file, but the folder is still listed in Outlook.
Anyone know of a way to get rid of the folder listing in Outlook?

OSTs are offline caches of your delivery location. They do not show up as
separate folder listings. Perhaps you're speaking of a PST (Person Folders
file). If so, you corrupted your profile. If right-click>Close doesn't
work, then try FIle>Data File Management. If that doesn't work, then
Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles>Add will.
 
When you say the folder is still listed in Outlook what do you mean? I may
be able to assist you if you can help me to better understand what you are
seeing.
