remove validation tool??

ow to disable or remove, or double-check? my mom's compaq laptop was bought
second-hand on ebay, thought it was a corporate lease unit. she uses it once
a week!
but the new validation tool says it is not valid XP and posts many messages
on the screen. how to remove? she can live without updates.

genuine "Full Version" of Windows XP Professional
and perform a "repair install".

or try to get some support for a class action suit against M$
for violation of a half-dozen protections granted by the
Constitution, starting with the 5th Amendment, the right not to
have to incriminate one's self.

but, the real question is, how do /you/ know that the OP's
install isn't legal, you have only the bullshit software's word
for it, and it has been "fixed" to correct false-positives how
many times already?

See the numerous answers you got to your first post. Please do not make
a new post about the same question only a little while apart. Wait at

Replace XP with Linux and forget about the silliness of validations.
Besides, she'll end up with a better more secure and stable operating
system. Especially if she uses it on the Net.
