Remove the 'Safely Remove icon'

I want to remove the safely remove icon- the device I am
using, HP Photosmart 7960, is permanently connected, yet
the icon always shows. Any help would be nice. Thanks!

The *only* thing you can do is hide it.

Right click the Taskbar | Properties | Taskbar tab |
Customize button | Safely remove hardware | Always hide |
OK | Apply | OK

This helps, yes.
But I do not like the hide icon arrow.

Ya got two choices:
Safely remove........
Or the hide icon arrow.

Sorry, here's a third choice:
Unplug the HP Photosmart 7960
