A few months ago I downloaded a trial version of ePrint and installed it (my
O.S. is Windows XP Pro). That put two icons in my Control Panel--"ePrint
eMail eval" and "ePrint Eval." Once I tried the product (didn't suit my
needs), I uninstalled it. The icons were left behind!

I went through the Registry and removed any and all references to ePrint and
LeadTools. The icons are still in the Control Panel. I ran Registry
Mechanic (it found many, many problems and fixed them!) Still, the icons
are showing up in my Control Panel.

What can I do to get these darn icons out of my Control Panel?

Thanks!

Jay,

Apparently ePrint has left some things behind.

Do a search on your machine for *.cpl
cpl is the Control Panel extension. * is a wild card.
*.cpl will find all the cpl files on your machine.
Look for something related to ePrint Eval or ePrint eMail eval.
=============

Here are a few Contol Panel cpl's

access.cpl = Accessibility Options
appwiz.cpl = Shell Application Manager = Add Remove Programs
desk.cpl = Desktop Control Panel = Display Properties
hdwwiz.cpl = Add Hardware Control Panel Applet
inetcpl.cpl = Internet Control Panel = Internet Properties
intl.cpl = Regional and Language Options
irprops.cpl = Wireless Link Control Panel Applet
joy.cpl = Game Controllers
jpicpl32.cpl = JavaPlugin
main.cpl = Mouse Properties
mmsys.cpl = Sounds and Audio Device Properties
ncpa.cpl = Network Connections Control-Panel Stub
nusrmgr.cpl = Windows User Manager = Users Acounts
nvtuicpl.cpl = NVIDIA nView Control Panel, Version 52.16
odbccp32.cpl = Microsoft Data Access - ODBC Control Panel
powercfg.cpl = Power Management Configuration Control Panel Applet
sapi.cpl = SAPI 5 = Speech Properties
sysdm.cpl = System Properties
telephon.cpl = Telephony Control Panel
timedate.cpl = Time Date Control Panel Applet

You can download tweakUI, Under My Computer > Control Panel, you can
choose which applets to hide, and also their names. Knowing their
names, you can do a search for them and delete them.

Good luck
