And you can't just simple select and delete? Maybe it is on the master,
View - Master - Slidemaster and you can select and remove there.
Is the picture in the background perhaps, then just go to Format -
Background - listarrow - fill effects - picture tab - browse for your new
picture and insert it. If you want to get rid of it, click listarrow and on
the color row click the first swatch which will follow the background color
(probably white).
