are any boot-time , or other performance advantages , gained from removing

msn explorer
windows messenger
windows media player

i notice in "add or remove programs" that it only states that you can
"remove access" to windows messenger & windows media player

No, you will not gain any performance enhancement by uninstalling
MSN Explorer and removing access to Windows Messenger or
Windows Media Player.
