Remove logon

I have a front end linked to a backend database that are not password
protected.
When my friend opens the front end (from a network server) a logon name and
password are required. This does not happen when anyone else who opens the
same frontend on a different computer.
Any ideas why this is happening and how I overcome it?

Hi,
if this is a windows logon dialog - then you have to give full access to
this database for your friend windows account
if this is access logon dialog - you have to configure access in order to
use the same system.mdw, as other users

Your friend is likely joined to a custom workgoup. Have them re-join the
default "system.mdw" workgroup.
