Remove icon from sys tray

How can I remove the Outlook Icon from my system tray? Besides that I don't
like it, it doesn't seem to work properly anyway.

Right-click your Task Bar and choose Properties. Click Customize. Locate
the "Microsoft Office Outlook" icon, select it, and change the drop-down to
"Always hide". Click OK, then OK.
 
Any ideas on how to do this in Win2000? I can't find a Customize button in
Taskbar Properties.

I don't think Windows 2000 has that ability.
